My illustrations use vibrant colors, cute characters, and playful compositions to make teaching literacy to children fun. My cute art style and bright colors serve to grip children's attention, incentivizing learning through the association of words to the illustrations. With the representation of children from all different backgrounds in my work, I aim to teach children to empathize with others who are different from them. Children’s world views are shaped by what they observe and learn in these critical stages of development, so it is incredibly important in my work that what they are learning is empathy and kindness.
